With rising rates of “gray divorce,” and last year’s #FreeBritney movement, many people are wondering about their own estate plans and what aging could mean for their financial plans.

Rita asks Kelly:

  • What is gray divorce and how is it different than a typical divorce?
  • You had been a single mother to three children, then made a midlife career change to become a lawyer and just out of law school, did work as guardian ad litem.  What lessons did you from learn these experiences that you use in your work as a financial advisor now?
  • What are some of the mistakes you think women make when it comes to their money?
  • As women age what should they be thinking about as part of their financial plan?
  • Can women plan for long-term care needs for others and themselves?
