Jill has a talent for seeing the big picture, strategic planning, and working cross-departmentally to achieve organizational goals. She is a skillful manager of multiple strategic initiatives that impact an organization’s reputation. Respected supervisor and mentor of staff. Experienced spokesperson to the media, allied organizations, and key audiences.
As the volunteer chairwoman of the Alexandria Film Festival, Jill leads the festival, providing strategic direction and vision. She chairs the Executive Committee, ensuring effective governance and decision making, develops and implements festival policies and procedures, and ensures compliance, and oversees planning and execution of all festival activities, schedule, and programming. Jill also serves as the public face of the festival, representing it to the media, community and other stakeholders. And, she builds and maintains strong relationships with sponsors, filmmakers, industry professionals, and other stakeholders. Jill also assists with identifying and recruiting future leaders.
