What has your career path been since graduating from PW? While working full-time, I completed my Master’s Degree in Psychology from Temple University. This gave me the solid foundation I yearned for to combine medical skin care with the psychological impact on acne/acne scar patients in the office. I practice a form of psychodermatology, which addresses the mind/skin connection. While working on the skin outside, my patients often tell me about their agonizing, sometimes debilitating, journeys with acne/scarring. I share my story while guiding and encouraging my patients. As I treat them, I educate how to care for their skin while explaining how we are now on this skin journey together and how we WILL make significant improvements for them like I did for myself. I always hear relief in their voices, knowing that I truly understand. The relationships that are formed with each person are precious to me. I will stop at nothing to help them so eventually, they will be able to hold their head high with confidence. It is never an overnight miracle, but it is incredibly rewarding.
Tell us about your family. I am so blessed to have an incredibly supportive family. My husband Niel and I will celebrate our 30th anniversary next July. We have two sons, who I am so incredibly proud of! They live within walking distance of each other in Northern Virginia. Mark, 27, lived in Japan for four years. He is fluent in Japanese and taught English in a tiny fishing village.
Due to COVID-19, I had not seen Mark in all those years. It was extremely difficult, but Mark moved back in 2021 and now works in DC as a producer for FOX NEWS. His fiancé, along with her two little 7 and 9-year-old girls, have just finalized their 18-month visa process. They are moving to the USA on December 28th and will be married in January! Will, 25, was recruited by the government while in college. He obtained 2 top security clearances while in college. Will works under the Department of Defense for The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency.
I am also extraordinarily blessed to have my 102-year-old mom here. We call her Amazing Grace, and it’s truly an honor to love and care for her. She goes to the gym three times a week. My mom is my hero and the light in my life! We laugh a lot, and yes, we sip on red wine and eat a little chocolate:)
What did you dream of becoming when you were in high school? I have always loved helping others, so I thought I would be a psychologist.
What advice would you give to your high school self? I know it sounds cliche, but in my case, it rings so true. Follow your passion. I eventually did, and I feel extraordinarily blessed and grateful each day. At the end of the day, relationships, love, and memories mean the most. Be kind, love fiercely, and have FUN! Each day is truly a blessing.
What advice do you have for others about creating your best life? Living a healthy lifestyle makes all the difference in my daily life. I try to stay lighthearted and silly. I laugh a lot and try not to take things too seriously. I take time to appreciate the little things and give thanks each day for all of my blessings.
What would you like to say to all of your classmates today? Being part of the PW Class of 1982 was such a wonderful experience for me. I am very proud of my Alma Mater and my terrific classmates as well! We had such a great group of people in our class, and I feel so lucky to have been a part of it. Truly, my years at PW were some of the best in my life!
PW Classmates: Tell us about your personal experience with skincare.
Linda Lee: My journey started with my battle with acne and acne scars. When we were at PW, what I saw as my “bad skin” began my quest to repair it. That struggle continued through my 20s and even into my 30s. I saw numerous doctors and bought countless products — all of which claimed to be the magical cure. Finding only frustration, I was determined to seek answers.
PW Classmates: Is that what led you to become a professional esthetician?
Linda Lee: Yes! During that 16-year period after college, I was an editor at TV Guide magazine. I liked my job, but there was a nagging feeling in my gut that I wasn’t doing the work I was supposed to do. Eventually, with encouragement from my dear family and friends, I took the step I knew was next: I changed careers and stepped into the world of medical-grade skincare.
PW Classmates: You have always been passionate about helping others. So, it seems perfect that you linked your passion with your skincare quest. I’m so proud of you and so impressed!
Linda Lee: Thank you! I have always believed that if I could continue my tireless research, I would truly help others suffering from skin conditions like I did. It took several years, but after obtaining my certification as a Licensed Esthetician, I continued researching with world-renowned plastic surgeons and dermatologists, which helped me acquire extensive knowledge in all aspects of skincare. These range from the latest skin treatments to the products and technology that help me bring them to my clients. I am thrilled that the years of expertise and experience I have acquired enable me to advise and perform highly effective treatments sought by many from Philadelphia to New York City. Many of my clients are women like you and me — wanting healthy skin for their entire lives. Because my approach is so effective, my clients include some of Philly’s popular models, actors, TV personalities, professional athletes, and other celebrities.
PW Classmates: Looking at your website, it seems that your clients absolutely love the work you do!
Linda Lee: I am truly honored to care for so many people’s skin. One of my favorite compliments is from QVC Model Sheila Alasha, who said, “Being in the industry where the image is of utmost importance, I cannot have dull-looking skin. After years of trying facials from many people and different places, I have finally found someone who has made my skin glowy, younger-looking, and radiant. Linda Lee is by far the most passionate and knowledgeable at what she does. She has made my skin look its best, and many others have noticed and complimented me about it! I am so happy with the results and services she provides that I continue to refer people I know to Linda.! I am so grateful! Thanks, Linda Lee!” I’m also happy to have the chance to work with men, such as model and actor Myles Parrish, who explains: “I suffered numerous concussions playing basketball back in 2008. While holding down a job that required long hours of concentration and data research, I aged what felt like 30 years. The long days of being in front of a computer screen and being mentally cloudy really stressed me out. It showed. I always think of concussions as one of the best things that ever happened to me. It’s funny – it probably cut my basketball-playing days short, but I met one of the most wonderful people in the WORLD. Linda, I’ll be forever grateful that we met. Even if I don’t text or call Linda every day to thank her, I hope she knows how much she has truly changed my life.”Hope
PW Classmates: Tell us about some of the skincare areas that you specialize in.
Linda Lee: I actually pride myself on being able to specialize in all aspects of skincare — from anti-aging techniques to helping heal acne-prone skin, scar revision, pigmentation, vessel issues, and laser hair removal. I am simply passionate about focusing on each patient’s needs. Treating men, women, and children of all ages and skin types, I also devote as much time as necessary to help my patients achieve their desired results.
PW Classmates: You have a mantra that you share with all of your clients and your friends. Tell us what it is!
Linda Lee: Those who spend any amount of time with me will hear me say, “It’s all good!” and that the key to our time together is “results, results, results.” Clients don’t come for an hour of relaxation. They come to me because they know I’ll get the skincare improvements done. And when they see the results, results, results, they too start saying it’s all good! I invite everyone to visit and see for themselves how the magic works: theskinrejuvenator.com.
