About Hali’s upcoming book: The Big We

Hali explains: This book tells the stories of ordinary yet extraordinary Americans who are transforming their communities by collectivizing themselves. These citizens are putting their time, talent, treasure, testimony, and ties to move their values in the world in a way that improves the lives of their neighbors. In a time when our communities – even our families – seem to be more divided than ever, giving circles and potlatch get-togethers offer up one way in which we can heal our democracy by practicing the things that make democracies work. Hali Lee has been building a collective giving and philanthropic community for twenty years and has many stories, learnings, tips, and how-tos to share. She has an agent looking to help find the book a publisher to call home.
