As all small business owners know, when your bookkeeping is in good shape — so is your life! So it’s a pleasure to feature Sabina Silkworth, founder of Eastern Shore Bookkeeping.
A native of Washington, DC, she spent three decades working as a CFO/Controller in the non-profit arena, as well as in higher education, hospitality, and government contracting. She gave all that up in 2017 when she relocated to the Eastern Shore of Delaware. “I wasn’t quite ready to retire,” Sabina admits, so the perfect next step in her career was to launch an accounting/bookkeeping business that helps women-owned businesses build solid financial management systems.
“As a virtual independent contractor, I help my clients with their accounting and bookkeeping needs so they can focus on building their business and achieving their mission. Their success is our success. I say: Relax and leave the accounting to us!”
Sabina graduated Magna Cum Laude from The Catholic University of America with a BA in financial management and a minor in philosophy. She then graduated Summa Cum Laude from The George Washington University with an MBA in accounting. She loves the beach and football, and splits her time between her two favorite places — Millsboro, DE, and Ocean City, MD. She is married with one daughter, three sons, and three grandchildren.
