Hi, my name is Shell! I’ve been practicing yoga for 10 years. I got into it because I wanted to express myself through the freedom of movement.
And I fell in love with yoga because I quickly realized that it was as much a mental practice as a physical one. Yoga helps me relax my active mind. It also enables me to feel at ease, and release tension, from my body.
The yoga I teach is a slow flow practice that brings you inward and is great for all levels of experience.
We definitely move and stretch in my class, but the slower pace enables everyone to tap into what feels most beneficial and therapeutic for them that day.
We all know that every day we feel differently in our body — and our mind. I want my students to know that even though I offer the suggestion of different poses, they are encouraged to work into it in a way that feels most natural.
