Executive Coach Susanne Mueller gives us “50 Shades of Lipstick Leadership”

Originally from Switzerland, now based in New York, Susanne Mueller’s professional career started in an airline company’s sales and marketing department. “It was there that I had my eyes opened to the world,” she shares, and has worked across numerous sectors and geographies ever since.

Susanne holds a Master’s degree in Organizational Development and Leadership from Columbia University and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Marymount Manhattan College, New York. She has an Executive Coaching Certificate from Columbia University in New York and is a Professional Certified Coach of the International Coaching Federation (PCC). She has industry experience in government, working for the Swiss Mission to the United Nations. She has led the global SAP implementation in the international human resources department for Nestlé and has been involved in many consulting projects.

Susanne is certified in MBTI, Hogan, LINC, NBI, and IRC. She has coached many leaders from founders in industries such as pharma, manufacturing, automotive, consumer goods, sports apparel, finance, marketing, and information technology to those in advertising in the for-profit and non-profit sectors globally in North America, South America, Middle East, Europe, Asia, Africa.

“I describe my coaching style as holistic yet pragmatic, and I believe that healthy, mindful thoughts are key ingredients for a healthy and successful life,” insists Susanne, who has been a mentor for the Cherie Blair Foundation for Women, EDsnaps for STE(A)M students, and Stand beside them (US veterans) as a way of giving back and has volunteered her time providing leadership training in India and Indonesia.

Susanne also sits on several boards, including White Roof Project, New York (2014-2015), OWIT – Organization for Women in International Trade (2021-2023), and the Board of Advisors for EDsnaps (2023- ). She has been hired to speak to numerous groups in the USA, Switzerland, Poland, Belgium, Ecuador, Mexico, Brazil, and Hongkong.

Susanne has also published three books:

Take it from the Ironwoman: Susanne is a running coach and active athlete in triathlons, marathons, yoga, and hiking. She climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro. She has completed the full Ironman distance in Lake Placid and 26 marathon races globally. She has traveled to over 50 countries and speaks more than five languages. Her weekly podcast, Take it from the Ironwoman, interviews powerful women from around the globe who have important stories to share.
