A note from intuitive psychotherapist and author Kara Kihm, host, Discovering My Wings Show on the Inkandescent Radio Network — Hello, and welcome to today’s episode of Discovering My Wings. As you know, I’m the author of the book about how my life profoundly transformed when I began listening to my intuition. This show is designed to help you do the same.
Today’s guest: Dr. Tamara Abi-Khalil, communication psychologist, CBT practitioner, and author of Chasing Serendipity
Our topic: A modern approach to mental health
About Tamara: Tamara Abi-Khalil is the author of Chasing Serendipity, a novel that discusses messages revolving around the psychological effect of media and body shaming on young adults. Her interest in psychology arose from her own experiences, which led her to graduate with a Ph.D. in psychology of communication, and then complimented her degree with a certification in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in order to best counsel her clients using modern techniques and approaches to psychology.
“I am a firm believer that people have not broken beings in need of fixing, but rather complete and unique beings in search of guidance towards their own answers to reach the best version of themselves,” says Tamara, a university professor, corporate psychologist, and a trainer who focuses on employee wellbeing, emotional intelligence, and intercommunication in the workplace. She currently counsels clients using the psychology of communication and CBT techniques under a unique concept of including talk therapy and physical activity such as yoga or fitness workouts in one inclusive session.
